The quote comes from a newly discovered author's novel, Murder at the Bad Girl's Bar & Grill by N.M. Kelby. It's a mystery novel set in SW Florida---somewhere between Naples and Ft. Myers. Wonderful, quirky characters...and a smidgeon of Zen and philosophy...a quick read....a good beach read. And a celebration of Florida's rampant beauty, unrelenting heat, and wild-eyed insanity. Got to look for more of the beauty and the insanity around here, the heat is easy to find! Fortunately, we have been having daily rain showers, hopefully enough to replenish the last couple of too dry summers.

My husband has found a part-time courier job, for now. It pays more than unemployment! And I'm still searching, but have a Sat/Sun nursing job.

We both are ultimately looking for full-time jobs again, with benefits....so if you can hold us in your thoughts and prayers, we will do the same for you!
