Sunday Afternoon Epiphany
Jamál (Beauty), 19 Asma (Names), 165 B.E. – Sunday, September 7, 2008 about 1:23 PM Pacific Time

There I was kicking figuratively kicking myself because I had to go after a prescription today. I called the meds in Friday and time given to pick them up was after 11:30 today. Since I enough up to this morning, I opted to pick them up today.

I got busy and didn't want to take time to pick the bottle up. I wouldn't have picked it up if I didn't need one of the pills Monday morning. Anyway, Mom was depressed and I was on the verge of tears. I asked Mom is she wanted to go with me and she agreed.

That short outing to Wal-Mart and back home did us a world of good. That short drive and getting out changed our outlook entirely. I suspect it was being in direct sunlight that affect our moods. From now on, when either of us is down, I'm going to get us into direct sunlight.

I don't remember noticing this affect before today. However, it is possible that I was just too busy with other problems to notice. The affect today was so dramatic, I couldn't help but notice it. I'm going to start keeping track of my moods and when I'm down going outside.

I wonder if I have a problem with Seasonal Affective Disorder. I know I’m more depressed in the winter then in the summer. I haven’t gotten out as much this summer as I usually do and I seem to be more depressed. I haven’t discussed it with a doctor because I have other more pressing medical problems.
