Gary Farmer. "Two of Swords to the King of Cups"
*Leaf2* Gary Farmer *Leaf2*

Gary Farmer, actor, musician, and consummate gentleman visits the University of Montana. He addressed members of AISS, speaking about the Native American voice in theatre, on screen, through the radio.

Interesting to speak to him and find out we graduated 1 year and about 6 miles apart. *Smile* He's the younger one though!

He will give a further presentation at 3 Montana-Daylight-Time. (5 p.m. WdC time)

Gary Farmer singing the blues (about 1 minute into the video):

And in "Smoke Signals":

Two of Swords to the King of Cups

The shortest distance between two points
is a fold in space
a micro movement walked at the pace
of guidance listening to birdsong.

So go forth and chart your own heartbeat
step like a baby toward your dreams.

Know that new galaxies appear
in the folds of a moment
glow in your own inner place.

*Leaf2* Sketching it out:

ridinghhood-p.boutilier wrote in her blog entry "two of air/two of swords:

"the shortest distance between two points
is a fold in space
make a micro movement
walk at the pace of guidance
listen to birdsong
chart your heartbeat
take a baby step toward your dreams
allow new galaxies to appear"

I reworked it into the above.

*Leaf3* Thou:

Now... I wrote a "poem" gleaned from someone's blog... can you? Alfred does it all the time, so I'm not alone in this. Artists bounce off of other artists... it's a creativity thing...

*Leaf5* Me and Mine:

So I got up and went to the UM Adams center in search of a seat for tomorrow's game. *Frown* But I did speak to Nan! *Smile*. Yesterday I bought tickets for the Northern Colorado and Weber State games... the same seat I gave up from last season. *Smirk* If I show up again at 10 a.m. tomorrow, I might get lucky.

So... I wandered over to the UC and saw that Gary Farmer was scheduled in one of the rooms... THE Gary Farmer? The 'father' in "Smoke Signals" and "Lilies"? Yep. The one and the same. So I managed to get a seat in the corner. I was thrilled! He really is an accomplished actor.

Some days I'm blessed. *Heart*
