Blogocentric Formulations

NaNoWriMo - Day 5

So today I passed the 1,666 word mark... which means I successfully completed one full day's worth of NaNo work, over the span of five days. At least it's a milestone, even if it's not the one I was hoping for at this point. I guess that means I'm technically only four days behind, and the month is still young, so it's hardly insurmountable. Now that my narrative is clicking into place and I'm starting to pick up speed, hopefully I can knock out a few extra words every day to make up the deficit and get out in front of this runaway train that is my NaNo novel.

On a different note, I spent a good portion of today cleaning the apartment. With both the wife and I working long hours, neither of us had as much time to clean as we would have liked. So I've dedicated one day this week to each area of the apartment that needs it. And today, I'm happy to report that - for the first time in weeks - we can see our dining room table. Now if we decide to have dinner sitting on the couch, it will be by choice rather than necessity!
