Shrink before thou art shrunk. On the road again?
*Snow2* Montana 24, Appalachian State 17 *Snow2*

I have decided not to go to Chattanooga for the Championship. I will watch the football game here as I did last year and participate in any celebrations. *Smile*

However... I may very well be on the road this winter. If I decide on buying a Discovery Pass ($400/month; $500/2month) from Greyhound, I'll be doing a blog entry or item explaining my plans and asking "who wants a visit?" *Wink* Like... Chicago on February 20th, Katya. *Smirk*

Seriously... I could stop in for coffee or tea between destinations or even spend a night or two (if I can find cheap accommodations). Eureka, California (Anabel and soon Catherine) has long been on my list. And I hear there are some good poets in Florida... *Shock*. Indianapolis (Stevie) is close to Peoria (my friends the Wrights) which is close to Des Moines (Mandy) which is close to Rochester, Minnesota (Susan and Thomas). Oh, the list goes on and on. And no Zach... I will not forget Saint Louis. *Pthb*

List of states off the top of my head: WA, CA, ID, UT, NV, TX, MS, AR, MO, OK, CO, KS, IA, MN, IL, WI, MI, IN, NC, SC, FL, GA, PA, MD, DC, VA, VT, NH, SD, ND... Oh... not to mention Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta...

What I wrote to bkcompton about shrinking-the-port:

Advice... since you asked.

1. Get rid of all the folders! Then... anything meaningless.
2. Keep your very best up. No need to save the blemishes here... make copies for yourself of everything. Elizabeth Bishop, the famous poet, never shared a poem until it was 'polished'. So don't despair.
3. Shrink before thou art shrunk. The system goes by when created; therefore, crap is kept and good stuff lost. Being pro-active is necessary.
4. Keep a 'book' or blog if allowed. Contact a moderator or SM if in doubt. This allows for better interaction with those who do want to keep in touch. If not a blog... make an item that is blog-like... ask me if you need advice on this.
5. In the end... go with your heart:

I do want the items that will best define me as a writer, most likely poet, here.

*Snowman* Me and Mine:

I wrote in a comment to Erin J. Roberts : Why do I always think about a plate of assorted cookies as a gift? Maybe because I want sugar-cookies and cucidatis and peanut-butter and tea-cakes and...

I thought of my friend's kids and thought wooden blocks and a wooden train and tracks. I am regressing back to being 9. *Laugh*

Growing up I was very poor. I tried to give small and multiple gifts to my sisters. Spent hours wrapping. We saved the wrapping paper from year to year.
