I was watching "Sweet November" and this song haunts.

We have only today? I live anywhere but where I am and when sometimes. Less pain to dream and forget the past and somehow pretend the present doesn't exist.

Better to live in the present. I know this. I just can't do it some days.

I think of Steven, a friend I last saw in Emporia two years ago and wonder where and how and when the time flows. I'm still in Emporia... now snowy, cold and dark.
