Balsamroot coming out... shyly.
ME:

The Jehovah Witnesses softly tapped on my door this morning. Thought it was Livinia… went to the door and peeked out. Since I was half-clothed and my hair was wild I was glad I didn‘t open it wide! *Shock* It’s not good to scare nice folks in the morning. *Smile*

Anyhoo… day didn’t go anywhere. It was cold and windy out and I didn't get across the bridge to hear the student/faculty readings for “Second Wind”; didn't go for a walk in this March weather.

Wore the wrong shoes yesterday on my walk, so I cut it short. Saw the first balsamroot in bloom (shy at first they get huge, like 4-5 inches across) on the low southern slope of the North Hills. Watched a couple kids launch a toy airplane into the air. Saw more phlox in bloom.

Went to bed early when I got back.

Today I found out that my cousin’s son is back at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina. Still don’t know what is wrong with him (it’s not his heart; it still could be lungs). If he’s discharged he’s screwed. No place to live and no job possibilities. Not good. My cousin isn’t happy… we joked that she has a spare bedroom ready for me to move in… *Rolleyes* …I would! But, it’s not in Montana.

Where my mother lives the trees are slowly turning green; in North Carolina, my aunt reports that the dogwoods are beautiful.

Should’ve been in Costa Rica the last three weeks. Have looked into flights. Miami is cheapest, but too far to connect by bus. Chicago and Denver are doable and direct. *Smile* Nothing is cheap out of Montana (even checked Bozeman).

I guess it’s just a matter of deciding to go. Nothing will ever be “perfect”

At Liquid Planet. $1/coffee on Sundays! Listening to music by Gnonnas Pedro. Sounds Brazilian to me...
