Over a rainbow trail

Over a rainbow trail
I know these mists will part
and sunshine gladden this valley,
the river and my heart.

Over a rainbow trail
to find myself I climb
and falling down descend to dust
in old forgotten mines

where the ore of self lies hidden
where the gold must brave the fire
then sluiced with water, rid of dust,
be cleansed of this World's desire.

For I know I will be strengthened.
I know I will prevail.
And find my true self beaming
over a rainbow trail.

*Idea*

"Over a rainbow trail" brought a visual image and melody to my mind. Wasn't hard to write, but it'll need to rest until I can properly edit it. The music is such a strong part of it that making the words stronger may prove difficult.

*Reading*

Finished a small tourist book on Japanese culture. Reading more Costa Rican poetry. Need to reread now.

*UmbrellaB* It's been a damp day with snow frosting the hills and mountains. 41ºF.
