Celebrate the occasion and not the gift
30-Day blogging challenge Day 8: July 8, 2011 ~ Prompt: Birthday Call “If you could give yourself a call on a past birthday of yours, what would you tell yourself?”

Your birthday is special. Enjoy and remember the special things your mother does for you on your birthday. In later years, it will not matter that your brother’s and sister unwrapped one of their Christmas presents on your birthday. What your mother and you do to celebrate your birthday is important. Celebrating the occasion is important and not the gifts. The memories of the celebration are important. Celebrate your birthday and be happy.
