A quiet evening in Las Vegas

I got Mom to bed this evening without any trouble. I waited until I saw her dozing on the couch and then I woke her up. I suggested that it was time for her to go to bed. She went without any difficulty; with the exception of the air conditioner (heat pump), the house is silent.

I turned the television off when I took Mom to bed because when it runs I cannot hear Mom. Sometimes Mom lays in bed talking to herself, normally I do not disturb her unless it sounds as if she is going to get out of bed. I hear her talking right now, but it does not sound as if she wants to get up. I will check on her again after while.
