...going, going, not gone yet.
ME:

I bought my tickets.

I was so stressed but saw a price lower than expected with KLM (also unexpected) so I grabbed it. I travel Missoula, Minneapolis, Amsterdam, Manchester. Leave next week. Mavis will meet me at the airport.

I'll be in England three weeks and I'm hoping to see WdC friends there... as many as I can. Mavis and Scarlett have already chatted, so I just need to make lists, make plans, and then do whatever they think is best! *Shock* I know which side the toast is buttered on and I know I should be thankful.

Hopefully I can get to Wales, Oswaldthwistle, Lincoln, York...

See Linda Carter and Acme. We'll see if Alfred and I can meet in London. It's a bit far for both of us. Who else is in England? CRS. *Confused* Ah, Ghostranch... Scotland is not out of the picture.

Still, three weeks isn't much.

Two bare lists:

Hysterical Places:

1. A Castle
2. A Roman ruin
3. An Abbey
4. A Cathedral
5. A Pre-Roman site

Hysterical Foods:

1. Lancashire bomb
2. Bubble and squeak
3. Curry
4. Mushy peas, chips and gravy
5. Butter buns

I suspect a night in Manchester (there's a big party end of August I believe), standing on Lincoln Cliff (where some of my ancestors may have come from), walking around some small old village, seeing the industrial glory that was, catching a cricket match, playing croquet (I wish!), climbing in the hills with dogs, meeting friends and family of friends, sitting in a local pub, inhaling an alien landscape (freezing my ass off) will be enough.

Can't do everything.

My friends will know better than me. *Bigsmile*

My nerves have calmed down somewhat. Maybe I'll even get to sleep tonight before 05:30.
