I found another good reason to watch for the mail carrier. I am expecting my Medicare card. Today, I went online to apply for Medicare (I forgot or did not know that when you receive Social Security the U. S. Government automatically sends you a Medicare card); anyway I went online to apply and it said there was a problem. I call the administration office and the customer service agent explained that they issued my card on August 1. He further said I should receive the card by September 30, but if I did not then I need to call the office and let them know. I can begin using the card on December 1.

I am in the process of investigating Medicare supplementary or advantage plans. On Friday, August 19, and on Monday, August 22, I am attending seminars explaining my options. I am looking forward to the seminars and to choosing a plan.
