My 120th Birthday ~ Day One
On My 120th Birthday


On my 120th birthday,
I want to be able to pray!
It doesn’t matter what else I can’t do
As long as I can remember to say
A prayer at the dawn of day
And give thanks to the Glorious Lord
For the life I’ve lived
And the love I’ve received.

On my 120th birthday,
I want to be able to dance
At a masquerade ball
With a handsome prince.

On my 120th birthday,
I want to be able to write
About the stars at night
As they are viewed from
The cities of Mars.

About this poem: I wrote this in response to the Day One Prompt (My 120th Birthday). After finishing the poem I decided to add it to this blog.
