The Continuing Saga of Prosperous Snow |
Jalál (Glory), 7 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 167 BE – Friday, October 21, 2011 about 8:15 PM Pacific Time I don’t know if I have written about this before, but I have psoriasis. Right now, I’m dealing with the mother of all outbreaks. The main issue with this out break is stress; however, I suspect that an allergy to my fabric softener may be aggravating psoriasis or at least the itching. Therefore, I have decided to use two versions of Downey, the unscented for my cloths and the scented for my mother’s cloths. I am also going to try making a past of baking powder and spreading on the itching burning areas. When I was a child, my grandmother made a paste of baking powder and spread over the chicken pox to keep it from itching. It worked then on the itch, so I am going to try it on the psoriasis. It’s worth a shot. My doctor suggested I use Vaseline on the dry areas. I use the Vaseline in the evening and the prescription cream in the morning. The prescription helps a little and it would help more if I could learn to chill out. Since I am going on Medicare in December and switching doctors, I do not want to make another appoint until December. I think if I could just relieve the itch it would help a lot. |
