I am learning to cook again

I thought I knew how to cook. I thought I learned this growing up in Oklahoma. However, recently I have found out that I was wrong. I did not know how to cook for someone on a low fiber diet. Therefore, I am learning to cook again.
I am learning to read labels, not only the labels on canned food, but on frozen meals as well. I am getting an education and I am learning to deal with Mom’s low fiber diet. Mom can have no more then 3 grams of dietary fiber in a meal. I have learned that different vegetables have different amounts of fiber. I learned should not feed Mom a vegetable with 2 grams of fiber and another 3 grams of fiber the same day.
I went to the supermarket a few days ago. I bought some frozen dinners. I found out that most of them have 3+ grams of fiber. Needless to say, that I will not be feeding Mom very many frozen dinners. I will be fixing Mom’s meals myself, that way I know she will get the least amount of fiber in a meal.
