Asking a stranger for help
Tuesday, June 26, 2012, Day 26 ~ 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is Have you ever had to ask a stranger for help? Write about your experience, or write about your feelings or thoughts on this question.

Have I ever had to ask a stranger for help? It’s been a long time, but I think in my younger days when I still lived in Oklahoma. I drove to Ponca City because the guy I was seeing then was in jail and needed someone to pick him up and drive him back to Blackwell. Anyway, I didn’t check the gas gage before I went and I ran out of gas. I had to ask a stranger for some gas. He put enough in my tank to get me to where I was going and back home.

Wisdom comes with age
Experience = maturity

It’s all right to ask a stranger for directions and sometimes even help, but you have to be careful. You have to use common sense. You have to listen to your gut. If you get the feeling something isn’t right then it usually isn’t. I did many things when I was younger that I wouldn’t do today. I also listened to my gut less then. The gut feeling or institution (call it what you want) occurs for a reason. That reason is survival.

Random thought on this subject: A stranger is just someone haven’t been introduced to yet.
