Free Roll Sunday: Winter Thoughts
Prompt for Sunday, November 18, 2012: Free Roll. By Brother Nature for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS.

"The days dwindle down to a precious few,"
The sky takes on a grayish hue,
The year draws to a cold end,
Already we feel winter's wind.

Twenty twelve will soon be past,
Will this be the planet's last?
Or will the new year come again,
For new resolutions to begin.

In winter thoughts turn to death,
Humanity contemplates its last breath,
But the New Year always comes,
Followed by spring's first blooms.

We can't let winter thoughts depress,
Or cloud the joy our souls express,
When a winter dawn ignites dark clouds,
Burning away fears charcoal shrouds.
