Thanksgiving 2012: Giving Thanks

Prompt : This Thursday will mark the American Thanksgiving Day. How do you spend the day? How do you give thanks? by Brother Nature for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" 

How do I spend Thanksgiving 2012? I will spend the day being grateful. At this point in time, I don't know what were going to eat for the Thanksgiving Feast this year. I know we will have vegetables because I have a nice selection of canned veggies in the cupboard. That is the only thing I'm sure we will have today. This may change between now and Thursday, after all there is always the chance of a miracle. If nothing comes up between now and Wednesday, I will either go to the store and purchase something or figure out how I can fix canned chicken on Thursday.

How do I give thanks? At this point in time, I plan to say the prayers for Praise and Gratitude in my prayer book. I will also compose at least one Thanksgiving blog entry. Thanksgivings isn't the Feast that occurs, but the gratitude expressed to family, friends, and God. It's the knowing what we have on our gratitude list and expressing the gratitude for life itself.
