BCOF Prompt

How does the weather influence you and your activities? Do you just go with it? Or do you change your plans to meet the day? I don't now about you but I am so over all of the crazy weather and changing my plans.

This is what I've got to say about bad weather. It's depressing, especially when the sun isn't shinning. My muse doesn't like cold weather either. My muse and I are trying to get over it, so I can completely edit the last 20 chapters of my novel.

I guess I can say that I try to run and hide from the bad weather. Sounds lame, I know. However, I do tend to get more reading done when the weather goes crazy.

The Soundtrack of Your Life

As y'all have probably figured out, I don't listen to modern music very much. However, there is one singer who is popular now that I like. I also believe she's the only hope for popular music of today. The singer I'm talking about is Lana Del Ray. I love her voice. To me her singing style is a mixture of Nancy Sinatra and June Carter Cash.

The first song I ever heard of hers was Blue Jeans. I originally thought it was just a commercial jingle because I had only heard parts of it on TV commercials.

You Tube wasn't working for me, so I looked up the lyrics to share with y'all

Blue Jeans by Lana Del Ray

Blue jeans, White shirt
Walked into the room you know you made my eyes burn
It was like James Dean, for sure
You so fresh to death & sick as ca-cancer
You were sorta punk rock, I grew up on hip hop
But you fit me better than my favorite sweater, and I know
That love is mean, and love hurts
But I still remember that day we met in December, oh baby!

I will love you till the end of time
I would wait a million years
Promise you'll remember that you're mine
Baby can you see through the tears?
Love you more
Than those bitches before
Say you'll remember, oh baby, say you'll remember
I will love you till the end of time

Big dreams, gangster
Said you had to leave to start your life over
I was like: "no please, stay here,"
We don't need no money we can make it all work
But he headed out on Sunday, said he'd come home Monday
I stayed up waitin', anticipatin' and pacin' but he was
Chasing paper
"Caught up in the game" that was the last I heard

I will love you till the end of time
I would wait a million years
Promise you'll remember that you're mine
Baby can you see through the tears?
Love you more
Than those bitches before
Say you'll remember, oh baby, say you'll remember
I will love you till the end of time

You went out every night
And baby that's alright
I told you that no matter what you did I'd be by your side
Cause Ima ride or die
Whether you fail or fly
Well shit, at least you tried.
But when you walked out that door, a piece of me died
I told you I wanted more-but that not what I had in mind
I just want it like before
We were dancin' all night
Then they took you away- stole you out of my life
You just need to remember...

I will love you till the end of time
I would wait a million years
Promise you'll remember that you're mine
Baby can you see through the tears?
Love you more
Than those bitches before
Say you'll remember, oh baby, say you'll remember
I will love you till the end of time.

News In My World!

I defrosted my freezer around 11:00 pm last night. I'm so glad I got that out of the way. I also read more of The Store by Bentley Little. It's something about the action and tension in his novels that I like.

A question for everyone, have y'all ever received some reviews that you don't get where the reviewer is coming from? This same reviewer keeps saying that I don't show any emotion in my writing even though I've pointed out all the places that I thought I displayed them, but this reviewer says I'm not correct and doesn't say why. I will admit that I'm not a very emotional person, but my theory is when you write dark fantasy and horror, it will be more about action and tension, not over the top emotions that I tend to see in romance novels.

Here's a chapter of my novel. Read and let me know what you think.

"Chapter 1- revised 1/8/14

I had to get that off of my chest.

Bye for now!
