Day 74 of my 95-Day Gratitude Challenge

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity...it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
Melody Beattie

*Coffee* This morning I am grateful that I have 6,230 points in my National Consumer Panel account.

I open the blinds
Look out into the morning
Thank God for another day.

*Coffeebl* This morning I am thankful that I decided to focus on responding to one blog prompt at a time. This way I get a chance to mentally rest between responses and do something else while I am thinking about my next response.

No multitasking
Unless I am thinking while
I do the housework.

*Coffeegr* This morning I am grateful that I still have some of the chicken and pasta soup I made the other day because I can eat it today without having to cook something mor complicated.

Why does cold weather
in crease feelings of hunger?
Is it December?

*Coffeep* This morning I am thankful that I still have a lot of cold cereal because I can use it in my soup the same way I use crackers.

The wind chill factor
Makes the late autumn chill feel
Like winter is here.

*Coffeet* This afternoon I am grateful for the warmth of Mama's black cape. I washed it yesterday when I went to the laundromat.

“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.”
John Steinbeck

*Coffeeb* This evening I am thankful that Mom visits me in my dreams every so often. I miss her so much that it hurts sometime.s

They come in our dreams
singing songs of peace and joy
whispering comfort.

*Coffeeg* This evening I am grateful that I received a merit badge for second place in November's "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS.

*Coffeeo* This evening I am thankful for Facebook because when I am depressed I can always be sure I will find a laugh when I go to Facebook.

Do not be depressed
even if you have to post
the humor yourself.

*Coffeer* This evening I am grateful that my Bank of America Checking account is not overdrawn today.

Evening chill sits in
the long cold night has begun
arthritic joints ache.

*Coffeey* This evening I give thanks that I well receive $534.00 in Social Security a month for 2015.

"Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings."
