Anxiety Binds Me


Anxiety wraps itself around me
Caging me in
Like a mime in an invisible box
Unable to break free
Trapped and pressed down
Yet no one can see my walls
No one can see my pain
I appear fine on the surface
But inside
I am riddled with tension
That form bands
That threaten to bind me
And pull me under.
