Prompt: On the first page of her new novel, The Nightingale, Kristin Hannah says, “In love we find out who we want to be; in war we find out who we are.” Agree or disagree?

I like this quote and I would be curious to read this book.

Love is perfection; it is the hopefulness of all things good. We shine in the light of love and it illuminates all that it is good. We do want to be the best we see reflected in the love that comes our way.

In war and conflicts we are broken down to our smallest parts. Where love rises us up and illuminates us, war tears us down, strips us of our disguises. There is no place left to hide. We need to step up and fight for what is important to us or die - fading off into nothingness.
