The Sweetness of Spring
Today's blog...

Blog City – Day 430

Ann Bradstreet said, " if we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant." Would you agree with that statement? Do we need to have the unhappy side of something to fully experience its happier side? Why or Why Not?

I definitely agree. I think we appreciate things more if we have to work for them or have to go through a rough patch. After a hard, cold winter spring is so much more welcome. So much more sweet. I do not think I would want to live in a place where the seasons do not change - sure it may be interesting to go a year that way, but I would miss it. Christmas without snow is not my thing.

One must remember that everything changes, nothing stays the same. Whether good or bad, this too shall pass. Like the seasons, we live through the seasons in our lives. Time to blossom, time to flourish, time to change, and time to hibernate before starting the cycle all over again. We all need time to regenerate before another flourish.
