The definition for xenophobia is: we tend to fear what we don’t know, and we exaggerate what we’re afraid of. I have the suspicion that the horror genre was born out of this type of exaggerated thinking. Do you agree?

Xenophobia from the Greek words xenos, "strange" or "foreigner", and phobis, fear.1 Xenophobia manifests itself in may different ways such as racism, oppositions to another religion or culture. Human beings tend to fear what they don't know or understand, which means xenophobia can raise it demonic head in any circumstances where individuals encounter people, cultures, or religions that are different from their own. The only way to overcome xenophobia is education or intercultural and inter-religious dialogues. The more people get to know those of other cultures, religions, and colors the less likely they will be to react in a xenophobic way to the fear and stress caused by the present world situation.

What's your take on celebrity gossip?

What's my take on celebrity gossip? I don't think about celebrity gossip. I don't read celebrity gossip. I don't look at celebrity gossip shows. If celebrity gossip comes up on one of the news programs I regularly watch then I do one of two things (1) get up and go the the bathroom (whether I have to or not) or (2) channel surf until that part of the program is over. I don't care which celebrity is screwing which celebrity's spouse or partner. I don't care if their having some sort of kinky sexual encounter. I don't care which celebrity is divorcing which celebrity to marry which celebrity. I think the paparazzi should find a more respectable genre of journalism or go to law school and become lawyers. The only celebrity news I'm interest in hear concerns who's starring in the latest science fiction, fantasy, or action movies.

The three pies sat on the counter before him. Which one would he choose... and would it be the right one?

The Reason Jack Horner
Has a Purple Thumb

Three pies on the counter,
which one will he eat?
He can't tell by the smell,
which one is honey sweet.

Why must he chose
which pie to consume
when is stomach says:
"Eat until I go boom!"

He wants to eat more then one,
but if he does that
he will have to purchase new clothes
because he will be too fat.

The only thing that he could do
was close his eyes and stick in his thumb
that is how Little Jack Horner
pulled out a huge sweet purple plum.

Jack Horner ate the entire middle pie
but never told anyone why
his thumb was purple
and pie made him sick.
