The Fun Fact Friday prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS
On this day in 1885, the roller coaster was patented by L.A. Thompson. Tell us about a time you visited an amusement park.

When was the first time I visited an amusement park? My first memories of amusement park rides concerns the Kay County Fair in Oklahoma. They had a merry-go-round, a Ferris wheel and a couple of other rides. I don't think there was a roller coaster. I think the first time I road a roller coaster was one of the themed coasters at Disney Land. I'm attempting to remember where else I took a roller coaster ride. I have a dim memory of riding one somewhere else, but I'm not sure where. I enjoy riding roller coasters and Ferris wheels more then I do merry-g0-rounds.

"I won't kiss you. It might get to be a habit and I can't get rid of habits." ~ F.Scott Fitzgerald
Is there something you avoid because you're afraid once you start you won't be able to stop?

I don't see how anyone can tell if something is going to become a habit unless they try it. I suppose if one has an addictive personality (if there is such a thing) the person may suspect they could become addicted to a habit, but even then I'm not sure they could say that's what will happen. It's been my experience that addictions sneak upon a person without them realizing until its too late. I still don't see that as a reason not to try something because addictions can eventually be overcome.

Has a game ever changed your opinion on something serious? Has a game ever changed how you perceive another person?

Has a game ever changed my opinion on a serious situation or the way I perceive another person? No. Usually when I change my opinion of something or someone it's after giving the opinion a great deal of thought. If I get a bad feeling about a person or situation then I will do a little more investigation to see if the feeling I'm getting is intuition or something else, but to change my opinion takes thought and investigation.
