February 1 is National Freedom Day. On February 1, 1865 President Lincoln signed the 13th Amendment outlawing slavery. This day was created by, a former slave, Major Richard Robert Wright Sr. so that all Americans could celebrate freedom. President Harry Truman, on June 30, 1948, signed the bill declaring February 1 National Freedom Day. Write something about National Freedom Day or about Freedom in general.
