Hearing Mom's Voice

Gentle whispers
echo through my dreams
her voice flows
soft and sweet
from the Abha paradise
where she walks beneath the Tree of Life
listening to the divine Nightingale sing.

She comes to me
walking through my dreams
in the houses
where she was happiest
speaking encouragement
in my struggle
to survive and thrive
without her physical presence.

I'm feeling nostalgic this morning. I'm not depressed; I'm just missing Mom. She's been coming to me in my dreams for the past few nights. I've been waking up with her voice echoing through my mind. The only thing I remember about the dreams is Mom's encouraging and gentle voice.
