The blog of the irreverent and irrelevant. Come in and join the madness.
The blog of mine enemy. Everyone wants to know what is happening with other people and from here you can find out just what is going on in my morbidly mundane existance. The book starts now, will include occasional annecdotal memories and will mostly be written under the cover of darkness when the law cannot catch up with me.
Take a look inside and see if you like - there's something for everyone, with information about my current projects, upcoming works, answers to questions and details on updates to my websites.

A very quick mention that I have been meaning to mention here. As well as my usual websites I also have a Just Giving page set up for collections and donations towards fundraising for the MacMillan Nurses who support cancer patients and their families in the UK. I am running a half marathon at the end of September in aid of this and all support is welcomed.

If you have enjoyed reading my work, think of how much it would have cost you to buy in book form and make a small donation towards my cause. I'm not asking for a lot, but anything you can give will be of great use.

Please take a moment to have a look on the link below, and spread the word as far as you can.

Well, i've had my worst comment and rating so far.

this piece is not very very very very terrible
I assign a 1.0 as a rating because fractional ratings are not allowed.

I find it quite amusing. No real comment, just that and a 1 star rating. We should watch this one. It could be amusing.

Just that short note today.

Yes it's true, a blog!! And not only that but more new writings that you can shake a dead dog's nob at.

So, to business...we have new a new addition to Dracula, two, yes two, new chapters added to The Last Magician, and my very own Sherlock Holmes parody. Also, still lurking in my portfolio are the three story beginnings of my interactive tales - Grim Reaping, An Imp's Odyssey and The Family. Take a look if you think you can take them on. All the links are below to save your little fingers the trouble of locating them.

Hmm, what else has been going on. Well not much. More chapters of Dracula and The Last Magician will follow soon. A new trilogy based on The Fallen is now completely planned and will soon be underway.

That's it for now. Enjoy.

Yes, these blogs are becoming more and more sporadic. They are still coming though.

So what's been going on? Well there are a couple of new bits and pieces spread through the portfolio. A quick rundown of these are...A Christmas Carol has been updated, A new Country Song, "The Girl of My Dreams" is available, and a brand new Radio Script called "Royal Flush" is also in the portfolio - this is the first script i have ever written, well since school, and i do quite like it. It's based on the British Royal Family, and was written for a competition which required something either offbeat, satirical or controversial...I can't help thinking that mine maybe falls into all three categories! Anyway, take a look if you get the chance. Below are the links.

Yes it’s true…we have had to send out intrepid hunters to seek out our blogs. Where have they gone. For so long they were posted day after day, then they buggered off and left us.

But they have been traced. Like slippery eels they threaten to be lost again. Be safe in the knowledge that we will continue in our efforts to try and bring them to you on a regular basis.

So what does all this tomfoolery and twaddle mean? It means there are some new items on the blog.

The Last Magician has a new chapter added. What has happened to the world in which Jack has found himself? What will he find in his old house?

Bram Stoker’s Dracula Retold also has been updated. Will Jonathan ever get out of Castle Dracula? Will the orang-utan ever stop farting and get a name?

There is also the Contest entry Getting Away With Murder . A tale of murder and how to get away with it. It’s simple when you know how.

Well, that’s it for now. Hopefully there will be more soon so keep watching.

Wow, a blog two days running. What is going wrong with the world?

Well don't worry folks. Normal service will resume soon.

In the meantime, there is another new short story in the Portfolio. Getting Away with Murder was one of the first short stories i wrote and is now about ten years old...how twisted must i have been to have written this when i was 15?

Anyway, that's all there is for now but more will be trooping over the horizon like a lost army soon.

Well here we are again...these blogs have become more and more sporadic. Its a sad thing having a life that takes you away from your fans.

Never mind, things are still rolling just someone left one of the breaks on.

Anyway, there have been a few additions to the portfolio here for those who are interested in that kind of thing.

There are two new Flash Fiction pieces, Devils and Dust and In The Box which are entried to the 120 Pieces Of a Nightmare contest, and a new addition to The Last Magician .

I won't promise what comes next, but i will promise that something will surface! That's as much as i can give and guarantee without disappointing the world by promising the world and producing a desk globe.

So for now,

Ta-ra

Nothing quite like them when you're lost on a log.

Well who said you need to be serious more than 0.04% of the time? Hmm, my boss actually. Oh well never mind.

Just a quick one today.

Right i'm done, see you next time.

Oh, more updates to the stories on the site are coming soon, and a couple of new projects too.

Addidas.

Those little e-mail reminders that tell you to update your blog. They appear like little imps. making you think you have new comments, only to find a bloody message saying to update your blog.

Well, as it stands, everything is as it was in my last blog. Nothing new yet to announce. I spent Sunday night at a Meat Loaf concert and am spending the next two out with my gorgeous girlfriend. There we go, the Update Your Blog message is satisfied for another couple of days.

Who knows? By then I might have something more impressive to say. Or maybe I'll just talk twaddle as usual.

Hmm, so much for best laid plans. I say something is going to happen, and something entirely different comes rattling down the track and knocks you into the middle of next week.

So what's happened. Well, to be honest, i don't know. But i'm sure i'll find out soon.

"The Boogeyman Cometh" and "The Phantom" are the latest poem in a collection called "Children of Dark Descent." Far too many quotation marks in that sentence, and more to come. "The Boogeyman Cometh" is a brand new poem based on one of the original evils, and "The Phantom" was actually written almost a year ago but seemed to fit with this collection. It is not as dark as the others, but I still consider the character of the Phantom of the Opera to be a child of darkness.

From this collection, I now have a number of novel ideas which i'll post details of on www.anthonylund.co.uk as they come. One story that i am curently co writing is based on "The Fallen"; an epic tale that picks up the story of Angelo, a fallen angel on Earth, as he attempts to stop the rise of the Black Angels who plan to eclipse the world.

In other news, new chapters of "The Last Magician", "A Christmas Carol Retold", "Bram Stoker's Dracula Retold" will be posted later today.

Well, that's it for now.
