An attempt at Haiku's each day beginning 2013 |
This is a well-intentioned beginning to what I hope will be a haiku a day, or thereabouts. |
Wind chill cuts you deep Nose rivers wiped on your sleeve Winter has arrived |
Asphalt ribbons stretch Undulate over hilltops Tied down by traffic |
Porcupine roadkill Turkey buzzards circling It must be lunchtime |
Three-armed wind thieves Making something from nothing Bird killing experts |
Things are looking up Sunshine in the sky above And sunny within |
Cotton quilted sky Reflected in crazy lakes From a passing storm |
Stone gray light seeps in Heralding another day Golden sun follows |
Trapped in a time warp A peek at what is to come If I live that long |
Bright sunshine outside Humid and sweaty for sure I so love Texas |
Same ol' same ol' thing Just a different place and time Might as well be home |
Thunder and lightning Bones ache, low pressure arrives Waiting for the rain |
Thunder and lightning Bones ache, low pressure arrives Waiting for the rain |
Mugginess abounds Rooster crowing wakes us up On the road again |
Crunching of gravel Pulling up the gear again Time to move along |
Fierce blown grains of sand Pieces of past lives go by Who will remember? |
Foggy mist circles us Binding dampness to our souls Creating sadness |
you want at age 60 at age 65 you need is there no balance? |
when time's standing still it is always in darkness we await sunshine |
yellow streaks of sun lay gently across the dirt nothing to dry out |
Blue velvet sky orange globe hovers above lake reflects the glow |
