For my blog "Prompt: Do I believe that God wants me to know him? (This includes me knowing how he thinks and feels about me)."

Yes. I believe God wants us to know Him intimately. After all, He created humans for the purpose of having fellowship with Him and loving Him. How can you love somebody if you do not have a little knowledge of them? On the other hand, what God wants is impossible. God transcends human understanding and therefore is impossible to truly know. However, God in His glory did the impossible. He left heaven and took on human proportions in the man Jesus Christ. He did so to make it possible to know Him intimately and to love Him. Is it possible to know the God that transcends space and time? No. It is not. Is it possible to know Jesus Christ? Yes! Glory to God it is possible because Jesus is 100% God and at the same time 100% man.

. What do you think happened to "Tom?"

I really don't know for sure. They had a big search party the next day and for about a week following. Still, whatever became of Tom is one of the world's many mysteries. There is still an open case file on him in the Missing Person's Department of the local police department. Rumor has it that Tom and the beautiful girl eloped, but nobody has any proof. She may not have even existed, though the constable suspects foul play. Maybe the bog swallowed him?
