Artists need a way to release themselves; to get going; to get the juices flowing. That's what I want this collection of journal entries to be: a place where I can say what I want without fear of retribution. I don't always feel like I have enough time to say what I want to say. I'll just have to try and be persistent and consistent.

Good afternoon from mild Middle Tennessee...this has been an unseasonably warm winter. I am currently reading AND THEN THERE WERE NONE by Agatha Christie. I have read it several times before, but I always find something new and surprising. That's what I preach to my students...you always discover some new gem each time you read a text. We ate an early supper today. Just leftovers, nothing fancy. I may wash my hair and read for the rest of the day. It's one of those kind of lazy Sundays. It's a good relaxing feeling, though. I need to go brush my teeth, too. Enough about hygiene issues. It has been a productive weekend overall. Yesterday, we did our taxes. I'm glad that we got that over with. I need to do some research on my next topic, I'm still writing an informational text on Australian Cuisine. I like to write my texts by hand. I write them on legal pads then transfer them to Google Docs. After they are finished, I download to PDF then upload to my store. I mainly write non-fiction. I do write some fan fiction. I'm an organizer at heart. I like to write for about thirty minutes at a time. Then I take my break and go at it again. I have multiple writing projects going on at once. I tend to get bored with the same old topics. I create all of my own covers also. |
