a daily journal
Yesterday, I got some unsettling news.

I found out that a long time staff member at work was going into semi-retirement and it was going to be her last day.

I also found out that we lost a job contract.

The company who provided this job decided to go to another company because it offered more money.

I really enjoyed working on this job, now it is gone.

I woke up ill today.

My boyfriend called me early because he's going to see "King Kong" tonight.

There was another terrorist attack, this time in London, England.

Four individuals are confirmed dead, 20 injured.

Just got back from church.

We had a guest pastor.

She had a good sermon, but it was way to long.

It lasted over a half hour.

Just going to relax for the rest of the afternoon.

Spent the day with the boyfriend.

There's less snow where his parents live than here.

I would tell you more, but I don't kiss and tell.

Today, I start a new chapter in my life.

No more Stride.

The first thing I did when I woke up is make my bed, which is something I didn't do when I was working.

I just couldn't find the time in the morning when I was working outside the home.

Acton is also covered in snow today.

It came down hard last night.

I was worried about my sister coming home from work last night, but she made it home safe and sound.

Thank God!

Today was a sad day for all of us at Stride.

The staff threw a farewell party and gave us parting gifts.

My poor boyfriend cried. I had to console him.

We all said our goodbyes.

Thankfully, most of the people I worked with over the years live in town. I'll see them around probably.

The people out of town I'll miss. Thankfully, a lot of those people are friends with me on Facebook.

Two days ago, it was an end of an era for me.

After 11 years, it was the last official work day at Stride.

Tomorrow's the farewell party.

I have taken everything out of my lunch bag. It's going into the trash because it is in disrepair.

I'll miss the people, the money, and most of the jobs.

I won't miss the ever changing procedures that went on at Stride.

I spent the day doing laundry.

I'm glad it is done.

My boyfriend told me over the phone that the people at Stride packed up another job.

It won't be long now.

I finally got to the bank today.

Tomorrow, I have a day off so I'm planning to do some laundry.

I went to Tim Horton's for a coffee.

I then went to Shopper's Drug Mart to buy some stuff, including, an anniversary gift for my boyfriend.

I also got a new watch.

Hello everybody.

I'm finally back.

I had a very bad cold.

i'm still recovering from it, but at least I'm well enough to get back to my routine.

Since my last blog entry, I went to a Hallowe'en party, celebrated, with my boyfriend, our fourth anniversary of going steady, and went back to work.

I now got four more days with Stride before it closes permanently on Nov.16.

As of now, my future employment is up in the air.

At least I have my writing.
