Istijlal (Majesty), 9 Masa’il (Questions) 175 B.E. - Thursday, December 20, 2018 On Thankful Thursday, I give thanks for memories of divine springtime. The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise" prompt for Day 1830 What is the best thing that happened to you this year? Remembering Spring In the darkness of December, I remember the joy of spring celebrations: Naw-Ruz and Ridvan. Naw-Ruz, celebrated on the vernal equinox, praying in the New Year, food and fellowship, and giving thanks to the All-Glorious Lord for blessings of the previous year. Ridvan, celebrating the Declaration of Baha'u'llah, prayers and scripture readings, fellowship and food, and--on the First Day of Ridvan-- communities coming together to elect their Local spiritual Assembly. |
