Iatiqlall(Independence), 10 Masa’il (Questions) 175 B.E. - Friday, December 21, 2018 The "Blogging Circle of Friends " prompt for DAY 2224 Discuss your plans for this winter solstice? Are you going to watch the meteor shower? I don't celebrate winter solstice, and I won't be watching the meteor shower unless I can find an online video of the event. I will start working on a new poetry form I discovered through "~ The Poet's Place Cafe~" called the "Golden Shovel"3. I will do a couple of reviews, posts some of my older poems to "Devotional Poetry" and "Poem Experiments" , and (probably) do a couple of surveys. In other words, Winter Solstice is just another day for me. The "Blog City ~ Every Blogger's Paradise" prompt for DAY 1831 Use this words in your blog today: elf, turkey, ham, wagging, feathers, doorbell and solstice. On the shortest day of the year, there is nothing to fear, unless your a turkey or a honey roasted ham that is on the menu for the holiday feast occurring on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Winter solstice, the shortest day of the Gregorian year, when last minute Christmas shopper start to panic, and traffic-- on city streets, cross town express ways, and on the internet-- becomes frantic. On the shortest day of the year, when the doorbell starts ringing, the dog starts singing and wagging its tail, and the snow begins falling-- like feathers flying-- you know that you better place the elf on the shelf because Santa will be coming soon.
