‘Idál (Justice), 9 Jalál (Glory) 176 B.E. - Wednesday, April 17, 2019 "Verily, all created things were immersed in the sea of purification when, on that first day of Ridván, We shed upon the whole of creation the splendors of Our most excellent Names and Our most exalted Attributes. This, verily, is a token of My loving providence, which hath encompassed all the worlds." Bahá’u’lláh On Sunday, April 21, the Baha'is in Las Vegas and around the world will be celebrating the First Day of Ridvan. In Las Vegas, will wil celebrate this Holy Day at the Baha'i Center. The Twelve Days of Ridvan celebrates the Declaration of Baha'u'llah, which took place, in 1863, in a garden that was located on an island, in the Tigris River, outside of Baghdad. The Garden of Ridcan, which means paradise, was full of flowers and nightingales. Gratitude List for 9 Jalál Today I am thankful... ...for breakfast pastries to go with my coffee. ...that my Bank of America checking account is not overdrawn. ...for the Arizona sweet ice tea I have this afternoon. |
