I haven't been very faithful. You probably have guessed. My blog misses me. (I think, or at least assume). I've been working through some online writing courses. It has made me see I have a long way to go to be a great writer. I suppose some authors are naturally uber-talented. Me, not so much. I realize I will have to work hard to have a chance. The one thing I have going for me is that I'm super competitive...and someone just challenged me to write my stories. In fact, it seems from her feedback, that I don't have the traits to be a writer. Big mistake. OR. she's super-smart. Nothing is going to make me work harder than that kind of challenge. Since that afternoon, I've written everyday for my first book, a biography of my mother. Actually, another author, explained that if you're not writing about a famous person, you're probably better off writing a memoir. I guess that makes my work a memoir/biography.(I'm still not willing to get rid of the biography category). This book is so personal, I'm having trouble approaching parts of it without pain. But I guess that's what a book like this should do at points. The story is inspirational and hopefully glorifies God and gives people hope. I did start to write it here but I received a rather negative review (1 star) because I started out with my grandfather because that is where my mom's Christian walk began. At least that is what I tell myself. I still have the story in my portfolio but only I can see it and I work on it in Microsoft Word and Scrivener. If you're interested in reading it, let me know, and I'll open it for you so you can see my progress. (It's not nearly done). Anyway, thanks for reading this and I wish you well on your writing journey. Come back soon.
