A place to write down my thoughts and experience while learning about life and writing.

I started writing in 2023.
As of the time of writing that would be 2 weeks ago.
But My journey started way earlier.

many years ago I started playing fantasy games. Especially JRPG's, and action adventures.
Those often have massive stories and I keep turning back to them.
I love the world building, the way things work like magic and skills.
Then came Anime and Manga. Those were an expansion on my view of Fantasy stories. In particular the Isekai Genre.
I love how creators can come up with stories of different worlds where a character has to start from scratch.
The biggest thing for me in those stories is when the main characters has no clue what is going on. He/She has to learn about the world together with you.

And so after years of reading, watching and playing, I started combining certain parts of different stories together in my head. I couldn't stop thinking about it when in the shower, before going to sleep and even while watching a movie.
So after many years of shyness and being pretty anxious, I finally started moving out of my comfertzone.

I do so much more now then before. Play music as a DJ in online streams, produce my own music, interact with many people and now I can add writing to it as well. Even though its an aside activity its still fun to write what comes up and maybe create a story that at least 1 person might enjoy :)

And why not write a bit about the troubles I go through, the things I learn, the people I meet and so on.
So yeah. welcome in this blog :)

Yeah traveling is cool.
Love to see nature especially ^_^

But yeah GoT Audio book.... its really cool to listen to.
Book 1 was almost exactly the same as the tv series but book 2 is slowly deviating now.

It is funny how I was listening to it and found stuff in the way it is written that I feel is genius XD
Which probably just means it is the normal trickery of writing a good story haha.

Will be trying to get back into further write my story and implement some of the stuff I hear and learn.
Might just be a lot of fun doing haha.

Looks like you're doing a lot of traveling. Enjoy it! Also, good luck with your radio show. Sounds like fun.

Now I have a question.

GoT audio books. How do you feel about the book(s)?

I love birds from a distance, but not in my hands. Although, I can't say that I would leave it. I have a big passion for animals but I also understand that a hurt animal might need a lot of attention to get back on its feet. Nowadays I have it, but I didn't before.

It was sweet of you to move it to the side and give it a fighting chance. Every little bit helps.

That's sweet. I think you did the right thing moving it off of the road. You're right. Nature will take its course.

My husband does this with turtles. We drive a country road pretty frequently, and when he sees a turtle in the road, he pulls over, gets out of the car, and moves it off the road in the direction it was heading. It's frustrating seeing how many wild animals get hit on the road. Why can't people slow down or drive around them?

Once again you are totally correct.
Thought I have been writing stuff down for that.

I have a very specific way I want magic to work in the story and have recorded multiple voicenotes for myself to explain how it works. Weaknesses, strengths, basics and grounded in a little science.
Currently I am also working on a timeline for the first part of the story.

But while working on that I more and more realize that switching the chapters 1 and 2 isn't going to be enough.
My conclusion was that I would probably have to drive the story forward using flashbacks to tell the history of the MC. For what its worth I also went online to generate a world map that I could use to visually see where things are.

For now, the story I have up is probably going to change quit significantly.
Not so much in the things that happen but when and how I present them to the reader.

But where I am now mentally would not have been if it weren't for your, and others, comments :)
