| View from the bridge They cavort y'know: the swans, the geese, the ducks — especially the ducks. They wait until we turn the other way then continue making — ducks. Then beavers glide up channels to gather leaves at the base of half-gnawed trees where eddies swirl. And we? We watch the swallows swoop, then cross the bridge to drown our sorrows.
