Spring 2006 SLAM! - Congrats to the winners - see you all next time! |
Style: Italian Sonnet (rhyme scheme abbaabbacdecde with no rhyming couplet at the end, and 11 syllables in each line) I'll Get to It When I think of all the things to do today, I’m saddened with how long the list has grown now; There seems no end to bad acts that crease my brow. I asterisk “don’t procrastinate” and pray That at long, long last I may have found a way To eat well, be smoke free, and renew my vow To stop procrastination—and disallow My penchant for easily going astray. I will wash all the dishes, floors, even walls. I will not stop for breaks to breathe nicotine, Even if it causes me physical ache. But without willpower the loser soon falls: I only wash dishes and call the room clean. I’ll get to the list after one more smoke break. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** Sig 1: "Kim" is from Paint Shop Pro 8, but I drew the books.
