What memories your dad gave to you to last your lifetime. How much fun Saturdays must have been! The whole trip was a big game, with everyone participating in where you ended up. Those random trips impacted you in so many ways. I think that's why you are such a good mother. You have rules, but you really have fun being a mother. "You don't like the writing assignment I gave you? Go read somebody else's writing on WDC, and see how they write." That's an educationally sound alternative to punishing them for not doing their original assignment. You learned a lot from your dad, and you put "Becca's spin" on it. I love this story.
