I need some support guys-my supervisor is a freaking idiot! She emailed me a whole lot of stuff that is possibly illegal, among it that I'm not comfortable with certain types of kids. Now, this isn't because I just don't feel like it, it is because I have post traumatic stress disorder from my student teaching, in which I had to work with bigger, stronger, severely handicapped kids. Being in that situation resulted in my being diagnosed w/PTSD. I've been very open about that. My counselor said that according to the Americans w/Disabilities Act, they cannot touch that or ask any questions about it. It's off limits. I told my supervisor that if she wanted to talk to my doctor (meaning my counselor) I'd give her her phone number. THat shut her up!

I sent the entire email to my union, who said it may be grounds for a grievance. Can you believe that? I am so sick of being treated like this. I hope she retires soon becuase I really love my job. Grr....
