Friend or Foe?

I've been bear-napped
by this kinda monstrous, fluffy
looking rodent. I nearly crapped
myself when I smelt cheesy
breath behind me while visiting
my cousins, the Grahams
under the coffee table,
where the boy, Mikey,
left me for a week's vacation.

(Thank goodness because Mikey's
drool was matting my fur.)

I'm not sure if this is a good
or a bad thing…the whiskers tickle,
the claws are a touch sharp,
but he is soft and warm…
I'm either a new cuddly friend
or lunch.

Tell me - is he smiling?
I can't bear to look.
