We want intimacy in out lives and from family you'd think it should be there. I understand you feel let down, and it is hard to find friends. Woody Allen likes to compartmentalize his feelings his life, the things happening in his life. That way he can work when he has to or talk to people. Don't give up but give your family a chance to miss you. Be there when they do need you and talk small talk, then they will feel for you! As someone said this could be a long life God Willing. You will have many opportunities to reach them. Absence makes the heart grow fonder!
