Thanks for the reply, Zen! As per your question, yes the AD&D software does allow me to create a specific character in any fashion I choose. And that program also works well because I am very familiar with how both the software works, and I am an active D&D gamer so the ambiance really appeals to me. Are you familiar with the RPG? The neat thing about this software is that I can create my own classes, races, items, religions, or any such detail down to whatever I require! It is truly a remarkable program (and very expensive). But it does exactly what I need it to. And I like how you described in your reply how you have your own character creation/development technique that works well for you. I will have to utilize that too! I have made quite a few characters - complete with backstory, talents, skills, personality and quirks - that I intend to use in my writing project.
