Just a comment Jody. I almost always (he he) allow book entries, and so do lots of contests. It's up to the contestant. I read your rules you quoted as typical and usually, doesn't mean it's a de facto rule they must use a static item from their port to enter a contest. That's how I read it at least. You can also consider my lovely (but not run all year) "The 4 Controversies Contest" which is done in an In & Out form— people submit a link to their item. You can just as easily make it an item OR a book entry. I think. ruwthy did that coding So while my contest is actually considered an activity, the contestants get that it's a contest, just in In & Out form.
You're allowed to be sneaky here. Isn't it a rule yet No, I like it that way because a forum will take it 100% of your time onsite for contests and big activities like your auction.
