The beginning.

Grace's eyes slowly opened as she raised up in her bed, covering her yawning mouth with one hand as she scratched her tummy with the other.Turning in her sheets, she touched her bare toes to the cold, wood floor of her bedroom, stood, and stretched. 6:35, her alarm clock ready, five minutes before she had it set to go off. Switching off the alarm, she moved to her closet to get ready. The city bus would be coming at 7:50, and Grace's parents got pretty upset if she missed it.

A short while later, wearing a dark blue pair of low cut jeans, a tight black shirt with blue hearts all over it, her hair in a pony tail, Grace steps out the front door of her home, walking down the sidewalk towards the bus stop.
