…the Ceiling ‘Escape Hatch’.

         "Well, what if it really IS that easy?", Shannon wonders, as she pulls on a rope that lowers the telescoping ladder leading up to the Escape Hatch door in the ceiling. Quiet as can be, she creeps up the ladder and tests the latch. She nervously eyes the red safety light next to the upward opening trapdoor as she, slowly and deliberately, lifts the door into the room above.
