More Non-humanoid monsters

Other than the typical non-humanoid monsters, there are artificially created monsters such as chimera's made from various parts of deceased monsters. Other famous monsters that seem artificial includes the basilisk and manticore with traits of multiple animals.

Artificial monsters are generally smarter but weaker than their pure-bred monster counterparts due their man-made nature. (Chimeras can be made-up of any combination of animal parts that you can think of or just go with the classic greek design.)
