It was an ordinary spring morning when Samuel, a humble farmer with a peaceful spirit, discovered the peculiar you. Dragons were believed to exist, of course, but they were distant entities, living in mountains far away from human civilizations. It was an enigma how this dragon hatching ended up on his property.
You hid away in the brush afraid of what would happen next. The human in front you did not appear hostile however with the injuries you sustained; It would have been a great risk. The human crouched over you and spread open the brush. You try to move but are stopped by the pain of your damaged body. You close your eyes expecting the end to arrive. But it doesn't. The human lifts you up and carries you for what seems like hours as you drift into unconsciousness.
For days, Samuel weighed his options. He considered handing you over to the local lord, but feared that you might be used for war. He thought about selling you, as it could fetch him a large fortune, but the idea of potentially causing you harm didn't sit well with him. He pondered the wisdom of leaving it to nature, but his kind heart couldn't bear the thought of an infant creature left to fend for itself.
