Chapter #4

You play along.

"This is ridiculous." entering the garage, you whispered. "What kind of crazy game is dad playing?"

You sighed, opening the driver's side door of the station wagon and got in. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, as you had expected, but you decided to humor dad and closed the door before honking the horn twice. At first, nothing happened and you were about to get out when the seat belt suddenly pulled itself around you on its on, locking itself into place!

"Hey!" startled, you yelled.

You tried to get the seat belt off but it would not budge; you began to worry. Then, you heard the sound of machinery somewhere below you just before the car dropped like a rock! You screamed in terror as the car took you under the surface while the garage floor closed above you, eliminating any trace that you were once there. You continued to scream as the car plummeted several floors beneath the ground before gradually slowing to a stop where the seat belt released you and the door opened.

"What a rush!" getting out of the car, you muttered. "Where am I?"

You stepped away from the car but gasped as it rose back up, taking away what could have been your only way out of where you now were. Having no other choice, you walked forward to find what looked like a high budget science fiction movie with robots moving everywhere among station after station of computers, gadgets, vials of who knows what, and other items that were completely unknown to you.

"This must be James' laboratory." whispering, you said. "Only where is James?"

You have the following choices:

1. You call for James.

2. You decide to explore.

3. A voice says, 'I'm right here'.
